Community Support
Powersource believes in giving back to the community. We support and donate to several charities, including CFV, Night In – Night Out (for Panda) and the Royal Childrens Hospital, in the hope of making a difference to the life of sufferers and helping their families.
Cystic Fibrosis Victoria (CFV) was founded in 1974, becoming incorporated in 1984. They offer support, information, programs, equipment and a network of trained volunteers that understand and help sufferers and their families. We have been lucky enough to be able to support CFV for several years now with donations for auctions, raffles and promotions for various fundraisers. To read more about CFV click here
Night Off – Night out was born from three women meeting at pre-natal exercise classes. Although the founding three women did not suffer from post-natal depression they knew mothers who had and decided to host an event to help these women. All the money raised at the event was donated to Panda (Post and Antenatal Depressions Association Inc). This event has been running now since 2003 and is called ‘Night Off-Night Out’ – giving women a Night Off from their normal lives and a Night Out with their friends. Powersource was a part of this great event with donations for the gift bags, raffle prizes and auction items.
The Royal Children’s Hospital is a specialist paediatric hospital that provides care, specialist treatment and health & prevention programs for children and adolescents. Patients are referred to the Royal Children's Hospital not only from all over Australia but from around the world. Powersource has been able to aid in funding important research and help to purchase new machinery by making donations for fund raising events.
